Pandemonium ensued last night in Anyiin
village, a Tiv settlement in Logo local government area of Benue state
following the alleged killing of one of the Fulani herdsman earlier.
According to grapevine from locals, the reprisal attack on the Tiv peasant farmers came at the heels of a previous attack on one of the Fulani herdsman.
The Fulani throng into the village which is also the hometown of the present Governor of the State, Hon Gabriel T Suswam, and bombarded mayhem on residents around 1:00am, this morning.
The exactitude with which the attacks were carried out was similar of persons that have been trained in the art of warfare.
The Corpers lodge which houses all the corps members serving in that locality was not left out in the early hours chaotic raid of trepidation as Corpers scarpered for their dear lives.
The development has resulted in mass exodus of hundreds of locals and schools being shutdown indefinitely as locals fled the crisis town to safer havens in the early hours of the morning.
The casualties recorded in the clash as of now is yet to be ascertained.
