Filmmaker Peter Berg has launched a new production company
Film 45 and his first focus will be a feature on music superstar
Rihanna.
Berg is all set to direct an "unfiltered look into
Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon." In a
statement he said the project will be a current day take on the 1967 Bob Dylan documentary "Don't Look Back." This follows the pair's previous work together on Berg's movie "Battleship," where he gave Rihanna her debut acting role.
"A young artist at the top of her professional field," Berg told Deadline. "Much more a character study than a music film."
The still untitled documentary will be slated for a theatrical release.
